2011/6/21 [每日一句] 早阿! 今天討論一下住院過程中給藥該如何描述?

"患者開始使用口服moxifloxacin 400 mg QD以及吸入ipratropium 0.5 mg Q2H，隔天痰液培養結果為...抗生素換為ciprofloxacin 400 mg Q12H"

"The patient was started on moxifloxacin 400 mg po Q24h and ipratropium 0.5 mg by nebulizer Q2h . On day 2, sputum cultures revealed P. aeruginosa, and antibiotic therapy was changed to ciprofloxacin 400 m⋯⋯g IV Q12h.

開始使用 = be started on + 藥物
換藥 = A be chaged to B

這類句型很常出現在病歷上，提供參考喔!!

2011/6/20 [每日一句]我沒偷懶喔，今天的每日一句是ICU裡面最常出現的一句話...

"患者狀況惡化，之後因為呼吸衰竭插管，送去接受頭部斷層掃描作進一步的診斷"

"The patient's condition deteriorated and he was subsequently intubated for respiratory failure and taken to CT scan for further work-up."
⋯⋯
狀況惡化 = condition deteriorated (這個字難記喔!)
因為呼吸衰竭而插管 = be intubated for respiratory failure
"送"去作斷層掃描 = be taken to CT scan (不要用"send"喔!)

2011/6/17 [每日一句] ACS患者佔了內科ICU大宗，胸痛的描寫應該是每天家常便飯，今天看一下"胸痛部位為胸部中央，疼痛程度為10分中3-4分"

"The discomfort is located in the center of his chest and rated as a 3-4 out of 10 on average."

疼痛程度 (VAS) 的寫法大同小異，句型中的寫法提供參考喔!!

2011/6/16 [每日一句]描述家族史的句型:

"他父親在56歲時死於癌症，母親健在，今年72歲，罹患第二型糖尿病"

"Father died at age of 56 from cancer; mother is 72 years old and has type 2 DM."
⋯⋯
注意!

(1) died at...from... 幾歲 + 死於 + 原因
(2) has + 疾病 罹患...疾病

常見錯誤為畫蛇添足，died at age of 84 becaused (因為) of MI 或 type 2 DM was diagnosed (被診斷罹患..)
